Any person who violates any section of this chapter shall be
subject to a fine of not more than $1,000, imprisonment for not more
than 90 days and/or a period of community service not to exceed 90
days. Each day on which a violation occurs shall be considered a separate
and distinct violation, subject to the penalty provisions of this
article. Each separate rental unit that fails to conform to the provisions
of this chapter shall be deemed a separate and distinct violation
for each day that the violation occurs within the particular rental
unit.
