The purpose of this district is to provide a business place where local neighborhood residents can supply themselves with day-to-day products and services of a limited nature.
A.
Permitted principal uses, retail sales only.
(1)
Bakery shop.
(2)
Bank.
(3)
Bar.
(4)
Barbershop.
(5)
Drugstore.
(6)
Food store.
(7)
Fruit market.
(8)
Funeral home or mortuary.
(9)
Hardware store.
(10)
Ice cream parlor, excluding drive-ins.
(11)
Newsstand.
(12)
Savings and loan.
(13)
Self-service laundry and dry cleaning.
(14)
Tobacco store.
(15)
Restaurant, excluding drive-ins.
(16)
Shoe repair shop.
(17)
Dry-cleaning and laundry service shops providing only items of customer supply shall be serviced on the premises. Service to any product or item from collection points or pickup stations (other than retail customer route trucks) shall be prohibited.
(18)
Offices or business or industrial firms, not including the manufacture or storage of goods on the premises.
(19)
Temporary structures, excluding tents or canvas enclosures, shall be permitted for a period not exceeding 30 days on a permit issued by the Zoning Enforcement Officer. At the end of the thirty-day period such structures shall either be removed or reinstalled as a conforming use.
(20)
Any other retail business or service establishment or use which is determined by the Board of Appeals to be of the same general character as the above permitted uses, but not including any use first permitted in a less restrictive district.

Stores and shops for conducting any retail business such as, but not limited to:

Appliance store.

Food store.
(h)
Frozen food locker.
(i)
Furniture store.
(j)
Hardware store.
(k)
Indoor theater or assembly hall.
(l)
Jewelry store.
(m)
Laundry and dry cleaning.
(n)
Newsstand.
(o)
Paint store.
(p)
Self-service laundry and dry cleaning.
(q)
Sporting goods store.
(r)
Tobacco shop.

Personal service shops.
(a)

Any other use which in the opinion of the Board of Appeals is of a similar nature so long as it is not first permitted in a less restrictive district.

Antique shop.
(b)
Automotive sales and accessory service.
(c)
Automotive repair shop.
(d)
Bakery.
(e)
Drive-in restaurants.
(f)
Frozen food locker.
(g)
Laundry and dry-cleaning plants.
(h)
Motels and hotels.
(i)
Outdoor sales and display.
(j)
Publishing and printing shop.
(k)
Veterinary, provided that all areas used to house or run animals are located at least 100 feet from any property line.
(l)
Wholesale distributors.
(m)
Any other business or service establishment or use which is determined by the Board of Appeals to be of the same general character as the above permitted uses, but not including any use first permitted in a less restrictive district.
A.
Permitted principal uses.
(1)
Any use permitted in the B-3 General and Highway Business District.
(2)
Any use of a light industrial nature may be permitted with a special use permit which involves only the processing, assembly or packaging of previously prepared or refined materials, provided that at no time will such use result in or cause:

The following uses are indicative of those which are intended to be permitted.
(a)
Manufacture of machinery such as: carburetor and small machine parts, cash registers, sewing machines and typewriters, calculators and other office machines, etc.
(b)
Fabrication of metal products such as: baby carriages; bicycles; metal foil, tin, aluminum, gold, etc.; metal furniture; musical instruments; sheet metal products and toys; etc.
(c)
Fabrication of paper products such as: bags; book bindings; boxes and packaging material; office supplies and toys, etc.
(d)
The warehousing or storage of goods and products such as building materials, farm supplies and the like, which may be sold from the premises to the general public. The bulk storage of fuel for resale is specifically excluded from the intent of the above.
(4)
Office buildings for executive, engineering and administrative purposes.
(5)
Scientific or research laboratories devoted to research, design and/or experimentation and processing and fabricating incidental thereto.
(6)
The manufacturing and processing of pharmaceutical and cosmetic products.
A.
Permitted principal uses.
(1)
Single-family residences.
(2)
Agriculture and general farming, including any customary agriculture structures or buildings, nurseries and greenhouses, provided that the land area of such use is at least 10 acres and the use thereof is intended for an agriculturally profitable use.
(3)
Places of worship, convents, cemeteries and other such facilities of recognized religious groups.
(4)
Municipal parks, playgrounds and related building.
(5)
Home occupations.
(6)
Schools.
