As used in this article, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
PUBLIC HIGHWAY
Any highway, road, street, avenue, alley, public place, public driveway or any other public way as per § 134 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law of the State of New York.
WATERS OF GREENWOOD LAKE
That body of water known as "Greenwood Lake," the portion of which is situate within the incorporate boundaries of the Village of Greenwood Lake, and shall include its arms and tributaries.
A. 
No person, firm, partnership or corporation shall park, stop, leave or permit to stand a vehicle on any street or public highway in the Village of Greenwood Lake, except by reason of traffic control or by direction of any authorized police officer, nor shall any person operate or cause to be operated in and upon any street or public highway in the Village any conveyance, vehicle or structure which shall have affixed to the outside thereof any advertising display or matter, provided that nothing herein contained shall prevent the use of business notices upon business delivery vehicles, so long as such vehicles are engaged in the usual business or regular work of the owner and are not used or maintained merely or mainly for advertising.
B. 
No person, firm, partnership or corporation shall moor, dock, leave, float or operate or cause to be moored, docked, left, floated or operated in or upon the waters of Greenwood Lake any rowboat, motorboat, sailboat, pontoon boat, canoe or floating vessel, craft or object of any kind which shall have affixed to the mast, sail, hull or the outsides thereof any advertising display or matter, provided that nothing contained herein shall prevent the name of such boat, vessel or craft from being displayed on the hull or sail of said boat, vessel or craft or from preventing the display of any identifying letters or license numbers as required by law.
Any person, firm, partnership or corporation found guilty of violating any provision of this Article shall be subject to a fine of not more than $250 or by imprisonment of not more than 15 days, or by any combination of fine and imprisonment.
