No person shall place any vending machines on any property outside
of buildings.
No outdoor telephone booths or advertising display racks shall be placed outdoors upon any property without first obtaining a license pursuant to Article
I of this chapter and paying the prescribed license fee.
No person shall operate a parking field and charge a fee for parking thereon until such person obtains a license therefor pursuant to Article
I of this chapter. No license shall be granted to any person under this section unless the parking field is authorized and permitted pursuant to Chapter
470, Zoning, and all the provisions of this Code and the rules and regulations of the Board of Trustees pertaining to parking fields have been complied with and the prescribed fee has been paid.
It shall be unlawful for any owner of any vehicle to permit
the same to be operated as a taxicab, limousine, private livery car
or private livery van upon the streets, highways, avenues or public
places located within the Village of Roslyn without having first obtained
and having then in force a taxi license issued by the Town of North
Hempstead. The fact that a vehicle is being operated as a taxicab,
limousine, private livery car or private livery van was and shall
be presumptive evidence that it is being operated by permission of
the owner.
It shall be unlawful for any person to own, operate or authorize
the operation of any tow truck or any other motor vehicle which may
be employed to transport an inoperable, wrecked or disabled vehicle
on any of the roads, highways, streets or at any other place within
the Village for the purposes of soliciting tow truck work or hiring
or to offer to provide or to provide any such services or assistance
or to go to or arrive at the scene or place for any such purposes
unless such person:
A. Shall have been licensed by the Town of North Hempstead.
B. Has first been requested and authorized by:
(1) A
member of the Nassau County Police Department to respond in order
to provide and perform any such services; or
(2) The
owner or operator of an inoperable, wrecked or disabled vehicle to
respond in order to provide and perform any such services.
No person shall operate a tennis court and charge a fee for its use unless such person shall have obtained a license therefor pursuant to Article
I and shall have paid a licensing fee therefor as the same shall be set from time to time by resolution of the Board of Trustees.
