The Superintendent of Buildings shall have primary responsibility for administering this chapter through the issuance, revocation or denial of tree permits.
Any tree or shrub planted within the lines of any street or highway on the Official Map of the Village or otherwise on Village property shall become the property of said Village.
The destruction or substantial alteration of each tree shall be considered a separate offense under this chapter. Failure to comply with any provision(s) hereof shall constitute a separate and additional offense under this chapter.
The violation of any provision of this chapter shall be punishable as set forth in § 1-8 of this Code.
