Town of Middletown citizens, commercial and industrial establishments and entities outside the Town who, by contract or agreement with the Town, or who otherwise necessitate the usage of the Town's heavy equipment during an emergency situation, upon violation of an existing Town ordinance, upon request, or for any other purpose, shall adhere to the fee structure attached hereto.[1]

The Town of Middletown, under the authority and supervision of the Town Manager, is authorized and directed to determine the necessity of, to administer, implement and enforce the fees attached hereto, and is authorized to collect such fees as any other fine or cost is collected.
The Mayor and Council of Middletown shall have the authority to revise this fee schedule by resolution at a future date.
This article shall be effective upon adoption.

All new residential and commercial/industrial development shall pay the following fire service fee at the time a building permit is applied for:
A. 
Residential per housing unit fire fee: $750.
B. 
Commercial/industrial per business fire fee: $500.
Residential per housing unit fire fee shall increase annually by 10%, effective on the first day of July.
Residential per housing unit fire fee and commercial and industrial per business fire fee shall not be charged for building additions, modifications, or fit-outs.
Apartment buildings shall be considered under the commercial and industrial per business fire fee.
Fees collected pursuant to this article shall be for the benefit of the local fire department, Volunteer Hose Company of Middletown.
The Mayor and Council of Middletown shall have the authority to revise this fee schedule by resolution.
