A. 
There shall be a Department of Tourism of the Borough which shall have the jurisdiction over all organized tourism activities sponsored by the Borough. Such activities shall include, but not be limited to, special events designed to attract and entertain visitors and residents.
B. 
The Department shall also coordinate tourism activities with the Chamber of Commerce, the county and surrounding communities.
A. 
There shall be a Tourism Director appointed by the Mayor, with the advice and consent of the Council, who shall serve for a term of up to one year, until the organization meeting of Borough Council in January of the following year.
B. 
The Tourism Director shall have the following responsibilities:
(1) 
Serve as chief administrative officer in charge of the Borough's tourism events and activities.
(2) 
Analyze the Borough's tourism needs to develop immediate and long-range plans, in conjunction with the Council's Beach, Recreation and Tourism Committee and the Business and Tourism Advisory Board.
(3) 
Plan, organize and administer tourism services for the entire community.
(4) 
Hire, organize, train and supervise such persons as are necessary to support the programs, subject to the budget limits set by Council.
(5) 
Supervise the collection of event fees and ensure that the Borough's accounting practices are followed.
