Editor's Note: This article also provided for the recession of the Town's prior vote providing for the election of the Chief of Police at its Annual Town Meeting.
At the time of the 1982 Annual Meeting and thereafter, the Chief of Police shall be appointed and shall continue to hold such office during good behavior, unless sooner removed for cause by the Selectmen.
A. 
A committee is to be formed consisting of:
(1) 
One state police officer.
(2) 
One man from the Rockingham County Sheriff's Department.
(3) 
One full-time Raymond police officer.
(4) 
Two citizens of Raymond (chosen by the Moderator).
(5) 
One Selectman.
B. 
Such committee is to select and submit a candidate to the Selectmen for appointment.
All applicants must be screened by the New Hampshire Police Chiefs' Association.
