Editor's Note: This article also provided for the recession
of the Town's prior vote providing for the election of the Chief
of Police at its Annual Town Meeting.
At the time of the 1982 Annual Meeting and thereafter, the Chief
of Police shall be appointed and shall continue to hold such office
during good behavior, unless sooner removed for cause by the Selectmen.
All applicants must be screened by the New Hampshire Police
Chiefs' Association.
