Any applicant who proposes to develop a subdivision in the Town
of Amenia shall submit plans and other documents for approval as specified
in this article of the subdivision regulations and in Appendix C of
this chapter.
The applicant for a minor subdivision shall submit a completed
application form, including the State Environmental Quality Review
Act (SEQR) environmental assessment form (EAF), accompanied by the
required application fee and the proposed subdivision plat. After
sketch approval (if sketch plan review is conducted by the Planning
Board), and in any event prior to scheduling of the public hearing,
the applicant shall submit to the Planning Board two subdivision plats,
certified and signed by a licensed land surveyor, including the individual
stamp/signature blocks for the Town Planning Board and, if required,
the Dutchess County Health Department and be in a suitable format
for approval or conditional approval. The subdivision plat shall bear
no erasures and be drawn on sheets of paper not larger than 36 inches
by 48 inches. The application materials and all related submissions
shall be filed in compliance with the administrative policies and
procedures adopted by the Planning Board.
The applicant for a major subdivision shall initially submit
a sketch plan to the Planning Board based on Tax Map information,
or similarly accurate base map, at a scale not less than one inch
to 50 feet. The entire sketch plan shall be shown on a sheet of paper
not exceeding 36 inches by 48 inches. The sketch plan shall indicate
the information found in the checklist in Appendix C, including the
conservation analysis if one is required. The application materials
and all related submissions shall be filed in compliance with the
administrative policies and procedures adopted by the Planning Board.
