Assign or approve the assignment of space in public buildings and
other public places for the temporary or permanent use of any department,
body, officer, agency or instrumentality.
Control, through the Business Administrator, the assignment, allocation
and use of furniture, equipment or other public property in the Township
government.
Authorize the Business Administrator to assign and reassign, transfer
and retransfer, from time to time, either temporarily or permanently,
any property or personnel from one function to another or from one
administrative unit to another, as the efficient management of the
Township government may require, subject to the express requirements
of the Charter, of Title 11A, Civil Service, of the New Jersey Statutes,
as amended, and of all other applicable general laws. Nothing in this
section, however, shall apply to the Council or the Office of the
Clerk.
Delegate to the head of any department any function, power or duty
conferred upon the Mayor by ordinance which is not required by Charter
or general law to be exercised, performed or discharged by the Mayor
personally.
Keep all contracts, deeds, grants, leases and other documents evidencing
any right, title or interest of the Township and records pertaining
to the history of the Township.
Subject to law, purchase all insurance relating to any risk of loss
by the Township government and retain the custody of and safely keep
such insurance policies.
For
purposes of administration, except as otherwise provided by the Charter
or general law or this Code, the legislative, judicial, advisory and
independent agencies of the Township government shall be under the
supervision of the Mayor and the Council.
