Every person having ownership, custody or control of any building or structure within the Borough shall have and maintain an established street address number thereon and shall post such street address number near each entrance from a street of the Borough or state and/or from any other public accessway in the manner and location designated by this chapter. R.D., R.R. or any other similar designation shall not be considered an acceptable street designation.
The owners and/or occupants of all establishments contained within a multitenant commercial, residential or industrial building complex, which have front and rear entrances, shall cause the correct street numbers to be placed on or adjacent to both the front and rear doors.
Within 10 days of written notice from the United States Postal Service and/or the Borough of any change in the property's street address or designation, the owner or occupant of any building or structure on such property shall make the appropriate installation, change or removal of the street address number required by this chapter.
The minimum height of any street address number designated by the United States Postal Service on or after the effective date of this chapter shall be not less than four inches high. All streets address numbers required by this chapter shall be of such a design that they are legible and easily visible from the street or accessway.
A. 
Notwithstanding the requirements of § 91-1 of this chapter, the street address number of any building, except those buildings described in § 91-2 of this chapter, may be placed on a post or other means of support at least 18 inches off the ground at the main driveway or walkway entrance or on the mailbox so as to be easily visible from the street or accessway.
B. 
In the event that a building is one of several located along a joint driveway or access drive, each address must be posted at the drive entrance from the street or accessway and, additionally, at each individual drive, front yard or building entrance way.
C. 
The owner or occupant of any building situated on a corner shall locate the street address number only on the street representing the correct mailing address regardless of where the property driveway is located.
The Borough shall adopt such reasonable rules and regulations as are necessary to implement the provisions of this chapter.
Any person, firm or corporation or association in violation of the provisions of this chapter or failing to comply therewith shall, upon conviction thereof, be fined not less than $25 and not more than $1,000, plus costs of prosecution, and in default of payment thereof, shall be imprisoned for not more than 30 days. Each day a violation of this chapter continues shall constitute a separate offense.
