Pursuant to Section 5511.35 of the Local Tax Collection Law, Act of May 25, 1945 (1945 P.L. 1050), as amended,[1] New Freedom Borough shall fix the compensation of the Tax Collector for the collection of Borough taxes.

The compensation for the Tax Collector for the collection of real estate and per capita taxes shall be fixed at 0.75% of those real estate and per capita taxes collected in the Borough of New Freedom.

The Tax Collector is authorized to provide tax certifications, upon request by the public, and further is authorized to charge a fee of $25 per certification. If a certification is requested to be provided in less than 24 hours, the Tax Collector is authorized to charge a fee of $30.
