Borough of Green Tree, PA: Designation of special uses.

§ 325-18 Sidewalks; cross streets.

While vehicles are being loaded or unloaded, no person shall obstruct a sidewalk area in an unreasonable way or for an unreasonable period of time.

No person shall erect or maintain a tree, hedge, billboard or other obstruction which obstructs the view of any motorist driving a vehicle approaching an intersection from a cross street for a distance of 100 feet along such cross street, measured from the property line of the intersecting street.

§ 325-19 Designation of special uses.

Council may from time to time by resolution designate certain streets in the Borough to be subject to one or more of the following regulations and restrictions:

One-way streets;

Speed limits;

Stop signs;

Traffic control lights;

Fire lanes;

(6)

Safety zones and pedestrian crosswalks;

(7)

Four-way stops; and

Any other regulation or restriction not unlawful or beyond the power of Council to adopt.

Traffic resolutions.

Such a resolution shall recite that it is being adopted pursuant to this Part 3 and shall be recorded in the book to be provided for such purpose, which book shall be available in the office of the Police Department for public inspection. In addition, signs setting forth the restrictions and regulations thus established by the resolution shall be erected at appropriate places on streets of the Borough.

No resolution shall become effective until after an appropriate sign has been placed upon the street affected by the restriction or regulation. Where regulated by the Vehicle Code, the sign shall be erected in conformity therewith; otherwise, signs shall be conclusively presumed to be regular in form and properly placed.

The regulations and restrictions adopted from time to time by Council regulating traffic on streets in the Borough shall have the same force and effect as though incorporated specifically in this article.

§ 325-20 Four-way stops.

Four-way stops are designated for all traffic at the intersection of West Manilla Avenue and Glencoe Avenue.

§ 325-21 One-way streets.

Upon the streets designated as one-way streets, vehicular traffic shall move only in the direction specified. A sign indicating the direction of traffic shall be erected and maintained at every intersection where movement in the opposite direction is prohibited.

§ 325-22 Right turn only.

A right turn only is permitted from the curb lane of Greentree Road at West Manilla Avenue.

§ 325-23 Left turn only.

A left turn only is permitted at the center lane for southbound traffic on Greentree Road at Potomac Avenue.

§ 325-24 No left turn.

No left turn is permitted as follows:

§ 325-27 Stop intersections.

Stop intersections. The following intersections are hereby established as stop intersections, and official stop signs shall be erected, or if such signs have been previously erected, then such prior erection is hereby ratified, which erection and placement shall be in such a position so as to require the said stop sign to face traffic approaching the intersecting street on the stop street in the direction or directions indicated for that intersection:

Duties at stop signs. Except when directed to proceed by a police officer or appropriately attired persons authorized to direct, control or regulate traffic, every driver of a vehicle approaching a stop sign shall stop at a clearly marked stop line, or if none, before entering a crosswalk on the near side of the intersection, or if none, then at the point nearest the intersecting roadway where the driver has a view of approaching traffic on the intersecting roadway before entering. After having stopped, the driver shall yield the right-of-way to any pedestrian in a crosswalk or to any vehicle in the intersection or approaching on another roadway so closely so as to constitute a hazard during the time when the driver is moving across or within the intersection or junction of roadways.
