All new sidewalks and roads shall include two four-foot-wide
concrete sidewalks, one on each side of the right-of-way, as shown
on Standard 2-1; concrete shall be 4,000 per square inch, three-inch
slump ± 1/2 inch, 6% air-entrained, ± 1/% six-pack-mix
minimum, except where prior written approval is obtained from the
Township Engineer. Construction shall subsequently conform to Standard
2-3; construction maintenance and perpetuity shall be the responsibility
of abutting property owners; Township shall not accept dedication
of any sidewalks.
Sidewalks shall be constructed of a minimum four-inch depth
of crushed stone and four-inch thickness of concrete (4,000 per square
inch, 5% air-entrained) with sealer to prevent deterioration due to
use of salt-type deicers. Sidewalks shall be constructed with a single
layer of welded wire fabric (6 x 6 W2.9 x W2.9) as shown in Standard
2-3.

A. Any person violating any provision of this article shall, upon conviction
thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $600 and costs
or, in default of payment thereof, shall be subject to imprisonment
for a term not to exceed 30 days, provided that each violation of
any provision of this article and each day the same is continued shall
be deemed a separate offense.
B. In the event of the violation of the provisions of this article by
any individual or corporation and when the Township deems it necessary
to correct any sidewalks constructed and/or installed contrary to
the provisions of this article, the Township may, at its discretion,
immediately repair or cause to be repaired or reconstructed any sidewalk,
at the expense of the violator thereof, and said expenses shall be
collected by the Township in any suit at law for correction of the
same. In addition, the Township may institute appropriate action at
law or equity to restrain, correct or abate threatened or continued
violations of this article.
