A.
Prohibited. There shall not be exposed or offered for sale in any market-house, store or other place in the Borough:
(1)
Any drug, meat, fish, bird, fowl, vegetable, fruit, milk or anything for human food or drink which is not healthy, fresh, sound, wholesome, fit and safe for such use.
(2)
Any animal or fish that died by disease or accident.
(3)
Any carcass of any calf, pig or lamb which at the date of its being killed was, being a calf, less than four weeks old; or being a pig, less than five weeks old; or being a lamb, less than eight weeks old.
(4)
Any cattle killed for human food while in an overheated or diseased condition. All diseased cattle in the Borough, the place where they may be found, and their disease or condition, shall be reported to the Health Officer by the owner or custodian, so that the proper disposition may be made thereof.
B.
Removal. When any meat, fish, bird, fowl, fruit or vegetable is found by any officer or member of the Board being offered or exposed for sale and which is in a condition unwholesome or unfit for food, he shall order the same to be removed, and the owner or person in charge of the article, matter or substance, shall immediately remove the same from any market, street or place, and the article shall not be sold or offered for sale, nor in any way disposed of for human food; and in case the owner or person in charge shall fail, neglect or refuse to remove the article within three hours after having been notified to do so, the same may be caused to be removed by any officer or any member of the Board, and the owner or person in charge shall pay all expenses thereof.
