The Borough Council of the Borough of Bridgeville hereby creates a recreation board to be hereafter known as "The Recreation Board of the Borough of Bridgeville". This Board is created pursuant to the provisions of the Act of February 1, 1966, P.L. 581, § 2708, 53 P.S. § 47708.

The Recreation Board of the Borough of Bridgeville shall consist of nine members, all of whom shall be residents of the Borough of Bridgeville.

1. 
Each member of the Recreation Board of the Borough of Bridgeville shall be appointed by the Borough Council of the Borough of Bridgeville and shall serve for a term of five years. The first members of the Recreation Board of the Borough of Bridgeville shall be appointed for terms of office as herein set forth:
A. 
One member whose term of office shall expire on the first Monday of January, 1979.
B. 
One member whose term of office shall expire on the first Monday of January, 1980.
C. 
One member whose term of office shall expire on the first Monday of January, 1981.
D. 
Two members whose terms of office shall expire on the first Monday of January, 1982.
E. 
Two members whose terms of office shall expire on the first Monday of January, 1983.
F. 
Two members whose terms of office shall expire on the first Monday of January, 1995.
2. 
Subsequent to the original appointments hereinabove set forth, all appointments shall thereafter be for a term of five years.
3. 
Vacancies in the Recreation Board of the Borough of Bridgeville, occurring otherwise than by expiration of term, shall be filled for the unexpired term in the same manner as original appointments.

The Recreation Board of the Borough of Bridgeville shall have the power to equip, operate and maintain recreation places within the Borough of Bridgeville and shall possess all of the powers and be subject to all of the responsibilities which may now or hereafter be given to recreation boards under the terms and provisions of the Borough Code.
