An Ordinance providing for the control of the subdivision and
development of land and the approval of plats and replats of land
within the jurisdiction of the Board of Supervisors of the Township
of Lower Heidelberg, Berks County, Pennsylvania, ordained by the Board
of Supervisors of the Township of Lower Heidelberg under the Authority
of Act of the General Assembly No. 247 of 1968, as amended by Act
170 of 1988, the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code, as amended.

This Ordinance shall be known and may be cited as the "Subdivision
and Land Development Ordinance of the Township of Lower Heidelberg."

The purpose of this Ordinance shall be to provide uniform standards
to guide the subdivision, resubdivision, and development of land of
the Township of Lower Heidelberg in order to promote the public health,
safety, convenience and general welfare of the Township. It shall
be administered to insure orderly growth and development, the conservation,
protection and proper use of land; the proper distribution of population;
and to provide adequate provisions for traffic circulation, recreation,
light and air, utilities and services.
