A.
Before filing an application and before preparing a preliminary plat pursuant to Article V, the applicant may meet with the Town Planning Board at its regularly scheduled meeting to discuss the proposed subdivision in general terms. The applicant should present a sketch plan as required pursuant to this article.
B.
The purpose of sketch plan review is to provide a cursory review of the proposed subdivision and to receive feedback from the Planning Board prior to incurring the cost of preparing a preliminary plat as well as to make preliminary determinations of the following:
(1)
The requirements that may apply, if any, pursuant to the State Environmental Quality Review Act.[1]

(2)
The requirements of the State Department of Health, Department of Environmental Conservation, the Adirondack Park Agency and other state agencies whose approvals may be required by these regulations.
(4)
The requirements of local county and Town agencies whose review and/or approvals may be required by these regulations.
(5)
The appropriateness of the proposed subdivision layout with regard to the goals and objectives of the Town Comprehensive Land Use Plan and other articles of these regulations.
