It shall be unlawful for any person to ride on a sled upon any sidewalk in the Borough, or upon any roadway unless that roadway is on a portion of a street blocked off for sledding by authority of § 106 of Part 1 or § 216 of Part 2 of this chapter; provided that nothing in this subsection shall prevent a pedestrian from pulling a sled, with or without a rider, upon a sidewalk.
2. ROLLER SKATES SCOOTER SKATEBOARD
For purposes of this section, the following definitions shall apply:
A shoe or shoes with a set of wheels attached for skating over a flat surface, or the equivalent.
A foot operated, nonmotorized vehicle consisting of a narrow board mounted between two wheels with an upright steering handle attached to the front wheel, or the equivalent.
A wheeled mechanism with a platform used for recreational purposes, without any mechanism for steering or braking.

It shall be unlawful for any person to use, operate or ride upon any skateboard, scooter or roller skates on any public street in the Borough of Quakertown. It shall be unlawful for any person to use, operate or ride upon any skateboard, scooter or roller skates on any section of sidewalk on East and West Broad Street between Fifth Street and Hellertown Avenue.

Any person who violates any provision of this section shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $300 and costs.
