There is hereby created an Inland Wetlands Commission, to be
constituted as follows.

The Commission shall consist of seven regular members and two
alternate members to be appointed by the chief officer of the municipality
for terms of two years commencing on January 1. Four regular members
and one alternate shall be appointed in odd-numbered years and three
regular members and one alternate in even-numbered years. Initially,
four regular members and one alternate shall be appointed, their terms
to expire July 1, 1991, and three regular members and one alternate
shall be appointed for terms ending July 1, 1990. Four members present
and eligible to vote shall constitute a quorum at any meeting.
The Inland Wetlands Commission shall have all the powers, duties
and authority prescribed by the Inland Wetlands Law, C.G.S. § 22a-36
et seq., as it may be amended from time to time.

The First Selectman may remove any member or alternate for cause
and fill any vacancy. Absence from any three consecutive regular meetings
and any intervening duly called special meetings may be cause for
removal.
