Each building within the Incorporated Village of Farmingdale
is to bear a house number which shall be the number allotted it on
a certain map filed for that purpose in the office of the Village
Clerk-Treasurer, and such number shall be affixed to the house at
or near the entrance of same and in such a manner and of such size
that it will be legible from the street.
Any person or corporation violating this chapter shall be subject
to a penalty not exceeding $250 or 15 days' imprisonment, or both,
and such violation shall constitute disorderly conduct and the person
violating same shall be a disorderly person.
This chapter shall take effect August 20, 1932, or immediately
as to any person or firm served with a copy of this chapter.
