There is hereby established, in accordance with and pursuant to the authority contained in the provisions of N.J.S.A. 2B:12-1 et seq., a Municipal Court in and for the Borough of Edgewater.
The name of such court shall be "Municipal Court of the Borough of Edgewater."

The Judge of the Municipal Court of Edgewater shall be appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the Council. He shall serve for a term of three years from the date of his appointment and until his successor is appointed and qualified.

The Judge shall designate the days when sessions of said Court will be held and the hour at which the Court will be in session, subject to the approval of the Administrative Director of the Courts. He shall preside at sessions of the Municipal Court of Edgewater.

The Judge shall receive an annual salary as is set forth in the current annual Salary Ordinance of the Borough of Edgewater.[1]

The Court Administrator of the Municipal Court of Edgewater shall be appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the Council.

The Court Administrator shall keep the records of the Municipal Court of Edgewater and shall supervise all other judicial work of said Court.

There is hereby established in the Borough of Edgewater the position of Deputy Court Administrator of the Municipal Court. The Deputy Court Administrator shall assist the Court Administrator in keeping the records of the Municipal Court of Edgewater and shall perform such other judicial and clerical work as directed by the Court Administrator.

The Municipal Court shall have an official seal which shall bear the impress of the name of the Court.

The Municipal Court shall be located in the Borough Hall.
