[Adopted by 3-17-1981 by Ord. No. 682-81 (Ch. 43 of the 1975
Code)]
Any individual appointed to a full-time position in the Borough
of Edgewater, subsequent to the enactment of this article, shall,
as a condition of his employment becoming permanent, complete advanced
first-aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation courses and be awarded
certification for both courses. Such certification shall be attained
within one year from the date of the individual's appointment. The
Mayor and Council may, for compelling reasons, extend the time for
the aforesaid certification. As used herein, the term "full-time employee"
shall mean any persons working in a position for a period of 35 hours
or more per week.
