(a)
No person shall dispense or cause to be dispensed cigarettes, tobacco or smokeless tobacco products from vending machines except as provided in Gen. Stat. § 12-289a, Subsections (b) and (c), and further provided that only "restricted cigarette vending machines," as defined in Gen. Stat. § 12-285, shall be permitted for use within the territorial limits of the City of Milford. "Restricted cigarette vending machine" means a machine used for the dispensing of packaged cigarettes which automatically deactivates after each individual sale, cannot be left operable after a sale and requires, prior to each individual sale, a face-to-face interaction or display of identification between an employee of the area, facility or business where such machine is located and the purchaser.
(b)
Violations of this provision shall be in accordance with Gen. Stat. § 12-289a(g) as same may be amended from time to time.
