A.
Burning of rubbish, including, but not limited to, waste material,
garbage, wastepaper, debris resulting from construction or demolition,
paper products, weeds, tree branches, brush, grass and trash is hereby
prohibited.
B.
Except as otherwise provided in this chapter, no person shall permit,
cause, suffer or allow open burning.
Open burning is permitted for fireplaces, wood stoves, recreational,
and religious ceremonial purposes.
After an initial warning, any person found in violation of this
chapter shall be punishable by a fine of $500 and/or imprisonment
not exceeding 90 days.
Exception may be granted if the City of Las Vegas Fire Department
has been notified and approved in writing by the Fire Department Fire
Chief.
