Except as otherwise specifically provided in this Article, thirty (30) miles per hour is hereby established as the maximum speed at which vehicles may proceed on or along streets and highways within the town.
The speed limits for vehicles proceeding on or along those streets or parts of streets described in Schedule H shall be as indicated in said schedule. The maximum speed limit for streets which are a part of the state highway system shall be as established by the State Department of Transportation.

The speed limit at which vehicles may proceed along highways and streets or parts thereof passing a school building is established in accordance with the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law (Sections 1620(a), 1622, 1630, 1643, 1662-a, 1180(c) as set forth in Schedule I.
