No person, firm, association, or corporation may discharge,
spill or dump substances or materials which are not entirely composed
of stormwater into receiving bodies of water, storm sewers or drainage
facilities, or onto driveways, sidewalks, parking lots or other ways
that drain into the Village drainage system.
The following activities are exempt from the provisions of this
article unless found to have an adverse impact on the stormwater:
A. Discharges authorized by a permit issued by the Wisconsin Department
of Natural Resources.
B. Discharges resulting from firefighting activities.
C. Discharges in compliance with construction site erosion controls (Article
IV of this chapter) or the stormwater management system regulations applicable to already developed or currently vacant property (Article
III of this chapter).
D. Discharges from uncontaminated groundwater, potable water source,
roof drains, foundation drain and sump pump, air-conditioning condensation,
springs, lawn watering or irrigation, individual residential car washing,
water main and hydrant flushing and swimming pools if the water has
been dechlorinated.
It shall be a violation of this article to connect a wastewater
building sewer or drain to the Village drainage system.
Any person violating any of the provisions of this article shall be subject to a forfeiture as provided in §
1-4 of the Village Code. Each day a violation exists shall constitute a separate offense.
