The Village of Walden shall have a Deputy Village Manager whose
appointment shall be as prescribed by law. The Deputy Village Manager
shall have such duties as may be assigned by the Village Manager,
shall be authorized to act generally for and in place of the Village
Manager, and shall perform the duties, assume the responsibilities
and possess the powers of the Village Manager during the absence or
inability of the Village Manager or during a vacancy in the office
of Village Manager. The Deputy Village Manager shall be in the exempt
class of the civil service as provided for by law.
