After a County road has been designated and posted with signs
as heretofore prescribed, it shall be unlawful for any vehicle to
travel or attempt to travel upon said road unless said vehicle is
equipped with chains or unless both rear wheels are equipped with
snow tires. For the purposes of this article, "snow tires" shall mean
those tires or recapped tires which are normally designated by the
manufacturer as snow tires and shall be in a good state of repair.

Any vehicles parked in violation of §
520-1 may be removed on order of the Roads Division Chief, Roads Superintendent or Roads District Supervisors, and said Roads Division Chief, Roads Superintendent and Roads District Supervisors are authorized to have said vehicle so parked towed from said highway, and the owner of same shall be required to pay the actual towing costs, not to exceed $500.
As used in this article, the following terms shall have the
meanings indicated:
COUNTY ROAD
Includes streets, roads and alleys which are a part of the
Allegany County road system.

Any person violating the provisions of this article shall, upon
arrest and conviction thereof, be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and,
upon conviction thereof, be fined not less than $100 nor more than
$1,000 for any such violation and, in default thereof, shall be committed
to the County jail for a term not to exceed 30 days.
