No trailer, mobile home, or industrialized building unit which
is used or which is intended to be used for other than living or sleeping
quarters or purposes shall be placed, located, or kept on any property,
private or public, or on the streets within the town, without the
owner or operator thereof first obtaining a permit so to do from the
town council.
Upon the conviction of the owner of any lot, his agent or the occupants of a trailer of a violation of §
153-1, the trailer in question shall be removed at once from the town. Upon failure of the owner of the lot, his or her agent or the occupants of such trailer so to remove the same at once, it shall be done by the town at the expense of the owner of the lot and of the trailer, which expense shall be recovered by distress and sale or such other appropriate method as may be adopted by the town.
The Health Officer and the members of the Police Department
shall enforce the provisions of this article.
It shall be an offense for any person to fail to abide by this
article, and any person found guilty thereof shall be subject to a
fine not to exceed $1,000 or imprisonment for a period not to exceed
six months, or both. Each day any violation of this article shall
continue shall constitute a separate offense.
