A. 
The following are designated as main arteries of travel:
(1) 
Midland Avenue. From the south boundary line of Nyack to the north boundary line of Nyack to the north boundary line of said Village.
(2) 
Highland Avenue. From the south boundary line of Nyack to the north boundary line of said Village.
(3) 
Main Street. From the Hudson River to the west boundary line of the Village of Nyack.
(4) 
Burd Street. From the Hudson River to Franklin Street.
(5) 
Broadway. From the south boundary line of Nyack to the north boundary line of said Village.
(6) 
Depew Avenue. From Piermont Avenue to Highland Avenue.
B. 
All vehicles approaching the above arteries of travel shall, before entering the same, come to a full stop, unless otherwise directed by an officer or signal.
C. 
The operator of any vehicle which has come to a stop as herein required upon entering the main artery of travel, as well as the operator of a vehicle on such main artery, shall be subject to right-of-way regulations and shall enter such main artery of travel with caution.
D. 
Signs bearing the word "stop" shall be erected and maintained at the following locations:
(1) 
Hillside Avenue and Highland Avenue.
(2) 
Midland Avenue and Fifth Avenue.
(3) 
Highland Avenue and Fifth Avenue.
(4) 
Midland Avenue and High Avenue.
(5) 
Highland Avenue and High Avenue.
(6) 
Midland Avenue and Main Street.
(7) 
Highland Avenue and Depew Avenue.
(8) 
Washington Street and Main Street.
(9) 
Broadway and Fifth Avenue.
(10) 
Cedar Street and Burd Street.
(11) 
Burd Street and Franklin Street.
(12) 
Prospect Street and Depew Avenue.
(13) 
High Avenue and North Broadway.
(14) 
West Sickles Avenue and Highland Avenue.

E. 
Such signs and letters thereon shall be of such size and either so illuminated at night or so placed as to be illuminated by streetlights or headlights of approaching vehicles as to be plainly visible and legible for a distance of 50 feet along such intersecting highway.
Any person found guilty of a violation of any of these regulations shall be liable to a penalty not exceeding $25 for each and every offense, and a violation of this article shall be deemed a traffic infraction.
