Town of Princess Anne, MD Article VI School Zones

§ 154-21 School zones and maximum speed limits in school zones.

A. Subject to compliance with all applicable provisions of Section 21-803.1 of the Transportation Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland, the President and Commissioners of Princess Anne hereby establish the following roads as school zones:

(1) Princess Anne Elementary School Zone: all public roads located within a half-mile radius of Princess Anne Elementary School.

(2) Greenwood Elementary School Zone: all public roads located within a half-mile radius of Greenwood Elementary School.

(3) University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) School Zone: all public roads located within a half-mile radius of UMES.

B. The maximum speed limits on municipal roads in any school zone shall be the current posted speed limit, as set forth in the Town's schedule of speed limits, a copy of which shall be kept on file with the Town Manager.
