The appropriate officers of Warwick Township are hereby authorized to enter into the amended and restated intergovernmental cooperation agreement ("agreement") with other Pennsylvania municipalities appointing MUA[1] as the consultant of Warwick Township to obtain services. A true and correct copy of the agreement is attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein by reference.[2]

The appropriate officers of Warwick Township are hereby authorized to execute and deliver to the MUA a joinder to the agreement.
The conditions and purpose of the agreement are to appoint MUA as Warwick Township's consultant in order to cooperate with other municipalities in Pennsylvania in bidding for and purchasing utility products and services including, but not limited to, electric power, telecommunications, energy conservation, natural gas, heating oil, or such other products and services as authorized by the bylaws and resolutions of the MUA.
The agreement will require no financing. Warwick Township will pay for service it solicits and receives.
Lower Paxton Township will serve as the lead agency for the purpose of administering the MUA.
There will be no real or personal property acquired, managed, licensed or disposed of under the terms of the agreement.
The MUA, as administered through the lead agency, is empowered to enter into contracts for policies of group insurance and employee benefits.
