Whenever a space shall be marked off on any street for the parking
of an individual vehicle, every vehicle parked there shall be parked
wholly within the lines bounding that space, and it shall be a violation
of this article for any person to park a vehicle otherwise.

No person shall park, stop or stand a vehicle or allow a vehicle to remain parked, stopped or standing at any time in any location along the streets in the Borough listed as a prohibited zone in §
400-71, which is incorporated by reference into and made a part of this section.
In all locations where fire lanes are established and properly
marked off and designated, whether on public or private streets or
on public or private property, it shall be unlawful for any person
to park a vehicle or allow a vehicle to remain parked in any fire
lane.
No person shall park a vehicle or allow a vehicle to remain parked when a snow or ice emergency is in effect, as provided in §
400-19, on the streets or sides of streets and in the times applicable to the specific streets or parts of streets as prescribed in §
400-72, which is incorporated by reference into and becomes a part of this section.
In the locations listed in §
400-73, which is incorporated by reference into and made a part of this section, parking shall be prohibited at all times on the days and between the hours indicated in that appendix.
In the locations listed in §
400-74, which is incorporated by reference into and made a part of this section, no person shall park a vehicle or allow it to remain parked, for longer than the time indicated at any time on the days and between the hours stated for the location.

A. Special purpose parking zones are established in the locations listed in §
400-75, which is incorporated by reference into and made a part of this section, and it shall be unlawful for any person to park a vehicle or to allow a vehicle to remain parked in any such zone, except as specifically provided in that appendix for that zone.
B. Parking
over a curb is prohibited. No person shall park a vehicle with one
or two tires on the street and/or one or two tires on a lawn or sidewalk,
straddling a curb.

A. Any person who violates any provision of §
400-22, Parking prohibited in fire lanes, hereof, shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of $25 and costs.
B. Any person who violates the provisions of §
400-26, Special purpose parking zones established; parking otherwise prohibited, and who parks a vehicle or allows a vehicle to remain parked in an established handicap parking zone shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of $25 and costs.
C. Any person who violates any provision of this article for which a
penalty is not otherwise provided shall, upon conviction, be sentenced
to pay a fine of $15 and costs.

A. As used in this article, the following terms shall have the meanings
indicated:
TRAILER
A vehicle without motive power, designed to carry property
or passengers and to be drawn by a motor vehicle.
TRUCK TRACTOR
A motor vehicle designed and used primarily for drawing other
vehicles and not so constructed as to carry a load other than a part
of the weight of the vehicle and load so drawn.
B. The parking of truck tractors, truck tractors with trailers, trailers, commercial motor vehicles with a registered gross weight of 13,000 pounds or greater, motor homes, truck campers, any similar motorized or nonmotorized vehicles, boats or devices is prohibited on any and all Borough streets in any R-1 or R-2 Residential District, according to the zoning classifications and regulations set forth in Chapter
425, Zoning.
C. Truck tractors with trailers and commercial motor vehicles, motor
homes, truck campers, any similar motorized or nonmotorized vehicles,
boats or devices may be temporarily parked on any Borough street continuously
not to exceed six hours within a R-1 or R-2 Residential District for
the purpose of and while actually engaged in loading or unloading
property or passengers in front of or making local deliveries to a
premises situate on said street, provided that at least three portable
emergency warning devices are displayed upon the roadway at the approach
to the vehicle.
D. It shall be unlawful for an operator or owner to park, stop or stand a truck tractor, truck tractor with trailer, trailer, commercial motor vehicle with a registered gross weight of 7,000 pounds or greater, a motor home, a truck camper, any similar motorized or nonmotorized vehicle, boat or device on any Borough street in a commercial district according to the zoning classifications and regulation set forth in Chapter
425, Zoning, continuously for 72 hours or longer.
E. Exemption. The provisions of this section shall not be applicable
to any vehicles used and parked upon a Borough street for the purposes
of either completing municipal improvements authorized by the Borough
or repairs to a premises situate on said street where a building permit
has been issued with regard to the project. Such temporary parking
shall be exempt hereunder only for such time as is required to complete
the municipal improvements or repairs to the premises pursuant to
the issued building permit. At least three portable emergency warning
devices shall be displayed upon the roadway at the approach to the
vehicle.

It shall be unlawful for an operator or owner to park a vehicle,
or allow it to remain parked, at any time upon any street in the Borough
of Paxtang within 25 feet of an intersection.
