Except as otherwise provided herein, the provisions of N.J.S.A.
4:19-15.1 et seq., and acts amendatory thereof, shall govern and be
of the same force and effect as though set forth at length herein.
In supplement and addition to the provisions of the aforesaid
statutes and acts amendatory thereof, the following provisions shall
also apply within the confines of the Township of Eastampton.
Each and every person owning, harboring, keeping or having charge
of any male, female or spayed dog shall prevent such dog from being
on any property other than that in the possession of such person or
on any public street or public property in the Township unless such
dog be securely confined and controlled by an adequate leash, not
more than six feet in length, in the hands of a person able to control
it, or restrained by other adequate means.
Violations of this article shall be punishable as provided in Chapter
1, Article
II, Penalties for Violations.
