All requests for accident reports, police reports, drunk driving
reports, or any other Police Department reports which are required
for the defense of an individual charged with an offense returnable
in the Municipal Court of the Borough of Spotswood shall be directed
to the attention of the central file, Police Department, Borough of
Spotswood, 7 Summerhill Road, Spotswood, New Jersey 08884.
Requests for reports shall contain, in the case of accidents,
the name of the drivers, date and location of accident. All other
requests shall list the name of the individual charged, the purpose
of the request, the offense charged, the date, and the summons or
complaint number.

Requests for reports shall be accompanied by a check, cash or
money order made payable to the Borough of Spotswood in accordance
with the rates outlined herein. The fees shall be as follows:
A. Motor vehicle accident reports (via mail).
(2) Each additional page: $1.
B. Motor vehicle accident reports (in person).
(1) One to 10 pages: $0.75 per page.
(2) Eleven to 20 pages: $0.50 per page.
(3) All pages over 20: $0.25 per page.
C. Discovery.
(1) All written discovery: $10.
D. Transcriptions.
(1) Transcriptions of statements: $25.
(2) Transcription of dispatch radio logs/phone logs: $20.
F. All other police reports (via mail).
(2) Each additional page: $1.
G. All other police reports (in person).
(2) Each additional page: $1.
H. Photographs.
(2) One to 10 photos: $10 each.
(3) Each additional photograph: $5 each.
J. Fingerprinting (residents or persons working in the Borough only):
K. Request to inspect records kept by municipality:
(1) Special service charge for extraordinary time: $15/hour.
