There shall be in and for the Borough a municipal authority known as the Borough of Ambridge Municipal Authority, as previously created by Borough ordinance pursuant to the Municipality Authorities Act of 1945, Act of May 2, 1945, P.L. 382, as amended, 53 P.S. § 301 et seq.[1]

The Borough of Ambridge Municipal Authority shall have, possess and exercise the powers and shall perform the duties as provided in its Articles of Incorporation and in the Municipality Authorities Act of 1945, Act of May 2, 1945, P.L. 382, as amended, 53 P.S. § 301 et seq.
A. 
The Board of the Borough of Ambridge Municipal Authority shall consist of five members, each appointed by Council for a five-year term.
B. 
The term of no more than one member shall expire during any year.
C. 
Should a vacancy occur, Council shall appoint a member to fill the vacancy only for the unexpired portion of the term.
