The Commission shall meet once annually to organize and elect
a Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Treasurer and Clerk. The Commission
shall hold monthly meetings each month of the year. It shall keep
accurate records of its meetings and actions and shall file an annual
report.
The Commission shall have the following powers and duties:
A. Its purpose shall be to develop and carry out programs which may
be designed or established to meet the opportunities, challenges and
problems of youth of the City and in conjunction with any similar
or related programs of any agency of the commonwealth or any agency
of the federal government.
B. The Commission may appoint such clerks or other employees as it may
from time to time require, subject always to appropriation of funds
therefor.
C. The Commission may receive gifts of property, both real and personal, in the name of the City, subject to the approval of the City Council, such gifts to be managed and controlled by the Commission for the purposes set forth in Subsection
A above.
