Pursuant to the provisions of MGL c. 90, § 20A 1/2,
which have been accepted by the City of Gardner, the following schedule
of fines for violations of the parking regulations of the City of
Gardner is hereby established:
A. Group A: $15; $15 each subsequent offense same day.
(2) Meter overtime (feeding meter).
B. Group B: $15.
(1) Parking on sidewalk or crosswalk.
(2) Parking in front of driveway or private way.
(4) Not parking within marked spaces.
(5) Overtime parking (except at meters).
(6) Parking more than 12 inches from curb.
(7) Parking between 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. in fire zone.
(8) Violation of two-hour parking restriction in metered zone.
(9) Parking between 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. to be effective when all-night
parking ban is in effect, November 15 to April 1.
C. Group C: $20.
(1) Parking in restricted area.
(2) Parking within 20 feet of intersection.
(3) Parking or stopping in bus stop.
(4) Interfering with free flow of traffic.
D. Group D: $25.
(1) Obstructing/interfering with snow removal.
E. Group G. Vehicles may be towed if the situation requires.
(1) Unauthorized parking in a handicapped zone: $200.
(2) Blocking a wheelchair ramp or curb cut designed for handicapped access:
$200.
(3) Parking within 10 feet of a hydrant: $50.
(4) Parking in a designated fire lane: $50.

Any violator who fails to pay the appropriate fine within 21
days of the violation shall be subject to a fine of $5 in addition
to the fine set forth above. Further, any violator who fails to pay
the appropriate fine before notification of the Registrar of Motor
Vehicles by the Parking Clerk as provided in said MGL c. 90, § 20A
1/2, shall be subject to a fine of $15 in addition to the fines hereinbefore
set forth. The Parking Clerk shall, for extenuating circumstances,
have the discretionary authority to waive these additional fines.
