The rules, regulations and fee schedule set forth below shall govern the application for and issuance of a certificate of compliance (firesafety) as required by Chapter
196 of the Fire Prevention Chapter of the Revised Code of the Village of Nyack. These rules, regulations and fee schedule can be amended by a resolution of the Village Board passed at a public meeting.
Applications for a certificate of compliance shall contain the
following information:
A. A description, agreeing with the Tax Map of the Village of Nyack,
of the premises for which the certificate is being issued.
B. Approximate square footage of the premises, for fee schedule purposes.
C. A statement as to the use of or occupancy of the premises, including
types of storage if any.
D. The full name and address of the owner and applicant, including telephone
number where they can be reached in an emergency.
E. Amount of fee required for certificate of compliance.
F. Other information as may be required by the Fire Inspector pertaining
to the premises.
G. A statement in which the applicant states that he or she shall consent
to allow inspections by the Fire Inspector with respect to the application
for a certificate of compliance.
H. Additional information required regarding the fire alarm system to
include name of alarm company, telephone number and code number of
system.
I. A copy of the certificate of occupancy or certificate of use authorizing
the applicant's use of the subject premises.

A. Every
application for a certificate of compliance shall be accompanied by
the payment of the fee as specified below:

B. All religious uses which have a certificate of occupancy authorizing
such use shall pay a fee equal to 1/2 of the required fee for nonreligious
uses.
C. Occupancies that do not meet initial fire safety compliance inspection
will be subject to additional reinspection fee(s) as follows:

(2) Second reinspection: $200.
(3) Third reinspection: $400.
