The owner and/or occupant of every building and/or lot of ground
in said Village adjoining which a sidewalk has been or shall be made
shall remove all snow and ice within 24 hours after a snow/ice storm.
No person shall obstruct any public street in any manner without
first securing permission therefor from the Mayor.
No person shall drive upon or lead any animal upon any sidewalk
in this Village.
The Village Board will not recommend and the Board will not
accept or establish any new Village streets which do not meet the
following minimum requirements and standards which have been jointly
established by the Village Board to conform to legal requirements
in New York, which requirements and standards must be met and paid
for by the person or firm proposing that the Village take over such
street.
The proposed street must be 36 feet curb-to-curb in width, and
its proposed name and location must be shown on a correct map thereof
prepared by a licensed surveyor setting forth the correct metes and
bounds description of such street. Four copies of such map must be
filed with the Village Board at the time of application to make such
street a Village street. Such street must not be subject to any right
or easement in others which will in any way interfere with its use
as a street at all times.
The proposed street must be made to conform to the minimum requirements
and standards set forth below, and in all cases adequate drainage
shall be provided by means of ditches and culverts and suitable drainage
pipes. Leaching basins may only be used by special permission and
then only when the same are located at the places specified and built
in accordance with the specifications therefor as set forth below.
All obstructions, such as trees (especially dead trees), buildings,
walls and other things which would endanger those using such street
or would interfere with the full and free use of the street must be
removed at the expense of the person or firm proposing such street.
Before the completed street is accepted by the Village, the
contractor must furnish a satisfactory guaranty that all bills accrued
during the construction of the street have been paid in full or make
satisfactory arrangements thereafter.

Any person, firm or corporation who shall violate any of the
provisions of this article shall, upon conviction, be punishable by
a fine of not more than $250 or imprisonment for not more than 15
days, or both. Each day of continuance of an offense shall be considered
a separate offense.
