In order to carry out the purpose and provisions of this chapter, the City of Fond du Lac is hereby divided into the following zoning districts:

Central Business District

General Business District

A. 
Zoning Map. The districts and their boundaries are shown on the map titled "Zoning Map, City of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin," dated 2014, which map and all amendments thereto and all notations, references and other information shown thereon are hereby incorporated into and made a part of this chapter. The original Zoning Map is on file in the office of the City Clerk of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.

B. 
Establishment of boundaries. District boundary lines are the center lines of railroad, highway, street or alley rights-of-way or lot lines, or such lines extended, unless otherwise indicated by dimensions on the map. All dimension lines are measured from the center of a right-of-way or a section, quarter-section, or division line unless otherwise clearly indicated.
C. 
Lot in two or more districts. Where a district boundary line divides a lot in single ownership, the district regulations of either portion of the lot may, at the City's discretion, extend into the other district.
D. 
Determination of exact location. Questions concerning the exact locations of district boundary lines shall be resolved by the City of Fond du Lac Community Development Department.
