Pursuant to the authority set forth in New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law § 1660(a)7, it shall be unlawful to park a motor vehicle, as defined in the Vehicle and Traffic Law, unless a permit has been issued therefor by the Town of Schroeppel, on marked parking areas on the west side of the Town Municipal Building on County Route 57A, on the highway shoulders of Chestnut Street, and in the Chestnut Street parking lot. Such marked areas shall be designated no parking, restricted parking or handicapped parking areas.
A. 
Each violation of this article shall constitute a separate offense and shall be a traffic infraction. A conviction of each such infraction shall carry a penalty of not more than $10 for the first offense, and $25 for a second conviction within 30 days after a first conviction.
B. 
The registered owner of the motor vehicle so illegally parked, or the operator of such vehicle shall be issued an appearance ticket for such violation.
Any Constable of the Town of Schroeppel and any police officer of the State of New York shall have the authority to issue such appearance tickets for violations of this article.
