The Personnel Review Board shall consist of five members, one of whom shall be the Personnel Director or their designee, and the other shall be the Director of Finance/Treasurer or their designee. In accordance with Article 2, Section
2-10; Article 3, Section
3-3; and Article
6 of the City Charter, the Mayor shall appoint all of the members to the Personnel Review Board, subject to City Council approval. The Mayor shall seek to find members with an expertise who can contribute to the fulfillment of the purposes for which this Board has been established. In accordance with Article
10, Section
10-6(a), of the City Charter, the members of the Board shall elect a Chair, Vice Chair and Secretary. Both the Personnel Director or their designee and the Director of Finance/Treasurer or their designee shall be ex officio voting members. The members who are City officials shall serve as long as they serve in their official capacities. The three remaining members appointed by the Mayor shall serve terms in a manner whereby one member serves a term of four years, the other for a term of three years, and the final member for a term of two years. In the event of a vacancy, the Mayor shall appoint a successor as soon as practicable, subject to City Council approval, and said successor shall fulfill the unexpired term of the member whose seat was vacated.
