A. The City
Council of the City of Nanticoke hereby establishes a permit parking
area in certain areas of the downtown in the City of Nanticoke on
each and every Monday from 7:30 a.m. through 10:00 p.m. Parking during
this time period will be limited to holders of permits issued by the
Luzerne County Community College. The following areas are hereby established
as permit parking areas on Mondays from 7:30 a.m. through 10:00 p.m.:
(1) The north side of East Main Street from Locust Street to North Walnut
Street.
(2) Both sides of Arch Street from North Market Street to Locust Street.
(3) Additional parking on the north side of Arch Street from Locust Street
to Broadway Street as posted.
B. Violation
and penalties. Anyone who parks in the above-designated areas on Mondays
from 7:30 a.m. through 10:00 p.m. without a validly issued permit
shall be ticketed and subject to a fine of $15.

A. The following additional designated residential permit parking areas
are hereby added in the City of Nanticoke:
(1) On Coal Street from Nanticoke Avenue to Slope Street.
(2) On Hill Street from Nanticoke Avenue to Slope Street.
(3) On Orchard Street from West Main Street to Spring Street.
(4) On North Walnut Street from Arch Street up to and including 23 North
Walnut Street.

B. On each of the above-designated streets, parking will be prohibited
from Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. for any vehicle
which does not possess a validly issued residential permit parking
permit issued by the City of Nanticoke. Parking in these areas will
be permitted at all other times, including times when the Luzerne
County Community College is not in session.
C. It is the intention of the City Council of the City of Nanticoke
that this program be implemented on a test basis for a period of two
years. If it is determined that this program is not working in the
best interest of the City of Nanticoke, the City Council will consider
repealing the permit parking designation set forth in this section.
Otherwise, this section will remain in full force and effect.
D. Any person who violates any provision of this section shall, upon
conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of $50 plus costs.
