The Parks and Recreation Commission shall be composed of seven
members and shall be appointed by the Township Board of Supervisors.
The terms of the members shall be for a period of five years.
The members of the Parks and Recreation Commission shall be
responsible for the election of their chair and any other officers.
The duties of the Parks and Recreation Commission shall be as
follows:
A. Plan and operate low-cost events with a wide appeal for children
and young families to take place on the grounds of the Township parks.
B. Present an annual budget to the Township Board of Supervisors by
August 15 of each year along with scheduled specific activities in
the calendar year.
C. Make recommendations to the Board of Supervisors for improving the
use and operation of all Township parks.
D. Issue an annual report, no later than January 15 of the subsequent
year, detailing the activities of the Parks and Recreation Commission.
All Township resolutions or other documents relating to the
functioning of the Parks and Recreation Commission or Parks Advisory
Group are hereby repealed.
