This article shall be known as "A Local Law Providing for One
Appointed Assessor."
This article is adopted pursuant to the terms of Real Property
Tax Law § 328.
From and after December 31, 2011, there shall be but one Assessor
for the Town of Lowville, who shall be appointed by the Town Board
and who shall serve pursuant to the terms of Real Property Tax Law
§ 310. The first six-year term begins October 1, 2013. This
article shall not be subject to referendum.
