A. Every person convicted of a traffic infraction for violation of any
provision of this chapter which is not charged as a violation of any
provision of the Vehicle and Traffic Law of the State of New York
shall, for a first conviction thereof, be punished by a fine of not
more than $150 or by imprisonment for not more than 15 days or by
both such fine and imprisonment. For a second such conviction within
18 months thereafter, such person shall be punished by a fine of not
more than $300 or by imprisonment for not more than 45 days, or by
both such fine and imprisonment. Upon a third or subsequent conviction
within 18 months after the first conviction, such person shall be
punished by a fine of not more than $450 or by imprisonment for not
more than 90 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
B. Notwithstanding Subsection
A above, the following fines are hereby established for parking violations:

C. Notwithstanding Subsection
A or
B above, the failure of any person failing to answer a parking ticket within 15 days after issuance thereof will result in the fine being doubled, and, for each period of seven days thereafter, a fine of $5 may be added thereto. Fines shall not exceed $250. Also, your failure to answer may lead to the issuance of a warrant for your the person's arrest and/or the denial of vehicle registration renewal.

In addition to the penalties prescribed in §
467-35 above, any vehicle standing upon any portion of any public highway within the Village of Corinth in violation of any of the provisions of this article may be removed by order of or under the authority of the County Sheriff's Department, or the DPW Superintendent or his designee.

After such removal as authorized by §
467-36.1 above, the County Sheriff's Department or the DPW Superintendent or his designee may cause such vehicle to be stored in a suitable place at the expense of the owner. Such owner or person in charge of the vehicle may redeem the same upon payment to the Village Clerk-Treasurer or his or her designee, including but not limited to the company retaining the vehicle, of the amount of all expenses actually and necessarily incurred in effecting such removal, together with any charges for storage.

It shall be the duty of such County Sheriff's Department or
the DPW Superintendent or his designee to attempt to ascertain the
owner of such vehicle or person having the same in charge and to notify
him of the removal and disposition of such vehicle and of the amount
which will be required to redeem the same.
