Pursuant to the authority of P.A. 94-200, the penalty for any
violation of the following provisions of law relating to littering,
dumping, recycling and waste disposal shall be a fine not to exceed
$1,000, namely:
A. C.G.S.
§ 22a-250(a), prohibiting littering or dumping.
B. Chapter
250, Article
II, §
250-11, Recycling, of the Town Code of East Granby, as amended, and any regulations promulgated pursuant thereto.
C. C.G.S.
§ 22a-220a(f), prohibiting unauthorized dumping in an area
not designated for disposal or mixing other solid waste with items
designated for recycling.
D. C.G.S.
§ 22a-220a(i), prohibiting unauthorized dumping in containers
without the authorization of the owner of such container or dumping
of material into a recycling collection container used to collect
another type of material for purposes of disposal.
Any police officer, constable or other person authorized by
the First Selectman may issue a citation to any person who commits
such a violation.
The penalty for any such violation shall be imposed pursuant to Chapter
1, General Provisions, Article
III, Penalties and Enforcement, of the Code of the Town, which was adopted pursuant to C.G.S. § 7-152c.
