A. 
Whenever any officer or member of the Pelham Fire Department, the Building Inspector or an authorized inspector finds in any building or upon any premises dangerous or hazardous conditions or materials, he or she shall order such dangerous conditions or materials to be removed or remedied in such manner that the Chief of the Fire Department, the Building Inspector, or other authorized Inspector specifies.
B. 
If the dangerous or hazardous condition is not removed, the Building Inspector or other duly authorized Inspector will issue an order to comply pursuant to § 34-22A. If there is no compliance, the Building Inspector or duly authorized Inspector may prosecute the violation and pursue the other remedies set forth § 34-22.
This code shall not be construed to hold the municipality responsible for any damage to persons or property by reason of the inspection or reinspection authorized herein, the failure to inspect or reinspect, the permit issued as provided herein or the approval or disapproval of any equipment authorized herein.
It is illegal to kindle or maintain a bonfire or an outdoor rubbish fire because the types of construction of the buildings in Pelham and the proximity of the buildings make such fires dangerous.
A. 
No person shall open, use or tamper with a fire hydrant.
B. 
This section shall not apply to members of the Pelham Fire Department who open or use the fire hydrants for uses authorized by the Chief of the Fire Department or the Building Inspector.
The Chief of the Fire Department or his or her duly appointed and qualified designee may investigate the cause and circumstances of every fire by which any public building, private dwelling or other building or property burned either in whole or in part.
